The Nokia Normandy, also called the Nokia X, went online on Gioididong, a Vietnamese retailer and blog site, with price of around Rs 7,000. The smartphone had earlier been seen online but this is the first time that the company offered a price tag.

Gioididong is a Vietnamese online retailer and the website showed, through fresh listings, that the Android-powered Nokia phone will cost from 2.2 million to 2.5 million VND (approx $110 or Rs 7,000 in Indian currency).

Nokia's Android KitKat powered smartphone, Nokia X, offers the typical combination of a Nokia device running on the Google Android operating system. This budget smartphone was much awaited! Meanwhile, Nokia Lumia 525 is also listed on the same site at 3.39 million VND (currently available in India for Rs. 9,931).

Even though, the e-commerce site posted the details of Normandy, a final word is yet to be made by the Finnish smartphone maker over the device. The phone is rumoured to feature a 10.16cm (4-inch) capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is likely to have 4GB of on board storage capacity. There will be a microSD card slot, which will support up to 32GB of external storage. A 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording capability are its other features.

The phone is also expected to be powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 302 GPU coupled with a 512 MB RAM. As mentioned earlier, it will run on Android KitKat, in contrast to the rumours that said that the phone is likely to carry a 'forked' Android.
